From one of our pilots who has been to the Triple Tree Aerdrome facility:

“Let me say that I have flown into Triple Tree Aerodrome and to refer to it as a grass airstrip is a big understatement. This is an airfield that is 8000 feet long by 400 feet wide of beautiful well groomed fairway grass that would make the groundskeeper at August National proud. The ramp areas around the two beautiful Gazebos have well trimmed grass that would make the greens-keeper at Augusta National proud. I am not sure if the fly-in will have Saturday night campers but the camping facilities are first class. Taxi-ways go through the woods and you can park your airplane right where you camp. There is a lot to see including the “control tower” (not controlled) that was purchased from the USAF where it was used at a former Air Force Base (Donaldson AFB), disassembled then re-assembled and erected on the site. There could not be a better place to have this fly-in. I look forward to attending.

I would like to thank everyone who worked so diligently to make this flyin a wonderful event! From pilots to rescue volunteers, everyone jumped in to not only enjoy the fellowship, but also to transport animals in need. Look forward to seeing all of you again!

Post on behalf of Pilot Art Dreyer:

Had a great time there, and thank you for the use of the car. What a great venue, and the staff, both Pilots N paws, and Triple Tree were terrific. This also made a great impression on our grandaughter Lexi. She still hasn’t stopped talking about all the puppies she played with. Thank you again for all the work and dedication you did. This was a great weekend! Art and Patty…
