Catahoulas Take to the Air

Mark Rayner of Catahoula Rescue South Central (TX & LA) sent us the following note. Jensen, Kipper, Bandit, Ramona, Hudson and Ruffles have new lives in front of them thanks to a Houston couple.

I’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank your organization and David and Diane Newton who flew six dogs from Texas to Louisiana on 09/15/12. Their journey began in Conroe, TX to fly one of our Catahoulas to his forever home in Austin.

Barry, Jensen’s foster dad, saying goodbye.

From Austin they picked up two more Catahoulas and flew them to Baton Rouge. Two of our foster families were there to take them to their foster homes. The Newtons continued to Hammond, LA where they picked up three more dogs for another rescue and flew them back to Conroe, TX.

Kipper with Mary. He was very scared and confused! He just got out of the shelter and was so scared! He was shaking so badly, he could hardly walk. Off to a better place, now.

Saturday was the Newton’s 114th animal rescue! The generosity and love shown by the Newtons and your organization is deeply appreciated and makes a huge difference in our ability to help our rescue efforts.

Fosters for Kipper and Bandit – these dogs will be great family members!

Thanks again to the Newtons for donating their aircraft, flying time and fuel expenses to helping these beautiful animals!

Ruffles, Hudson and Ramona – the passengers from Hammond to Conroe.
