New England Lab Rescue would like to thank Pilots N Paws and especially pilots Brian Peck, Rick Newman and Charlie Malo.  They flew Lucy (FKA Reese) from North Carolina to Sanford, Maine on Saturday, November 30th.  When Lucy was pulled by NELR in the summer, she was severely abused and neglected and Heartworm postive.  She had wounds all over her body, including rope burns and sores around her neck.  She was nursed back to health by a wonderful foster family in Jamestown, North Carolina.  Lucy also gave birth to 5 beautiful and healthy puppies and she has since tested negative for Heartworm after undergoing successful treatment.  Lucy has come out of her shell and  was once a timid, scared girl, is now a happy, bouncy dog- ready to begin her new life in Massachusetts.  We are so grateful for PNP and their dedicated pilots- without your hard work and time, we would not be able to save dogs like Lucy.
