Brothers Valentine Team Up To Fly Deaf Puppy to Special Needs Rescue In Texas
A deaf puppy was transported from Midland, Texas to Katy, Texas thanks to Pilots N Paws. The puppy was in a shelter that did not have experience in working with deaf dogs. They posted a plea for help on the rescue board. South Texas Animal Adoption Resource S.T.A.A.R. in Katy, Texas has worked with and re-homed deaf dogs so they agreed to take the puppy in.
Two great pilots come to the rescue. Ed Valentine flew DeeDee from Midland to Dallas. His brother, David then flew her on to Katy. DeeDee has already started learning her hand signs to prepare for a new loving home.
S.T.A.R.R. Adoption resource volunteer, Sharon Mosher, said that everyone at the S.T.A.R.R. felt so lucky to have the PNP pilots come forward and offer transport. “Pilots N Paws is such a great organization for the animals they save. The Brothers Valentine brought our little deaf girl to us. Ed flew her from Midland, TX to Dallas, TX. David flew her from Dallas to Katy, TX. Such service. They said Dee Dee was the perfect little passenger and relaxed in her seat the whole time. Our little deaf girl will now learn sign language so she can join another dog in a loving home,” said Mosher.
