TODAY’S RESCUE MISSION July 24, 2013

Dexter, a black-and-white Catahoula, and Crystal, a brown-and-white Catahoula, needed urgent transport from Houston to Opelousas, LA. Crystal was near feral when rescued, very timid, but had amazing eyes: one brown, the other light blue. Dave Massey, another Houston-area Cessna Cardinal pilot, and  Wade Roberts departed from Pearland Regional Airport in 20223 for the short flight to Opelousas, assisted by an 18-knot tailwind, where they delivered the hounds to Mark Rayner, a ground volunteer for Catahoula Rescue. Crystal has a home, and Dexter will be fostered until he is adopted.

The picture below is of them on the ground at OPL with ground transport and a note from Catahoula Rescue pasted below.

“Wonderful!! I’m glad the weather … and the dogs … cooperated. Thank you for helping two more Catahoulas. I’m in awe of the PNP program. Y’all are making such a difference in rescue’s ability to help these dogs. Thank you again for all you do.”
