10 puppies rescued from New Bern NC to Washington DC area

Hi:
PNP member Gary Wieboldt flew 10 puppies from New Bern, NC [KEWN] to Annapolis, MD [KANP] to a rescue organization: Puppy Paws Maryland, Huntingtown, MD.  The 10 Pups were 6 weeks old, and found in the New Bern area.  They were from a litter of 11 [sadly: one passed].  They will be fully vetted and released for adoption in a few weeks.
Gary has flown over 125 pups over the past 8 years for PNP, and loves the ability to mix Pleasure (flying) with Pleasure (rescue)!
The puppies fell fast asleep during the ride, but left ‘remarks’ on the turbulent ride up to the DC area in the two kennels on board.  The plane has been sprayed with Fabeeze! 🙂

I’ve met Gary several times both on the sending and receiving end. For a pilot you couldn’t find a more humble ‘down to earth’ kind of guy. Without transport so many more dogs, cats, kittens & pups would not be alive. Gary embodies the best of the volunteer spirit. What a great organization.
