George has a second chance at life. The future was not always so bright for this little ball of energy. If fact he was within 30 minutes of not having any future at all.

George was literally snatched from the euthanasia table by Austin Pets Alive staff. He had been hit by a car that roughed him up pretty badly and fractured his spine.

George did well with his foster family and got around quite well with his doggie wheelchair and jeans (watch the video for that explanation).   George had found a home in Indiana, but he thought the two family toddlers were other dogs and he unfortunately liked to play rough. That meant it was back to Austin to a foster family that could handle his unique needs.

Calls went out to get George from Indianapolis to Austin, TX. Several pilots stepped up for a multi-leg trip, and things were looking good for the tag team mission. Jane c. had a different idea and decided to make things a lot easier for George. She saddled up here trusty Mooney and made the trip non-stop for George, about 4 hours each way.

George is back in his foster home and doing great. He is even regaining the use of his rear legs a little bit at a time. Learn more about George here.
