“Not Today, Not This Dog,” Said Animal Rescuer Who Pulled At The Last Minute A Very Sweet Bull Mastiff Flown To Safety By PNP
I’m one of your PNP pilot volunteers, based in very deep S. Tx.
I had a story come through here that was pretty amazing and I thought worthy of publication in the blog. Long and short of it was a young, very underweight but very sweet Bull Mastiff was being visited by one of the local “pullers” there at the pound. She had been working on pulling another animal but went inside with him, talking, petting him and playing with him when they came to euthanize him. She said “not today, not this dog”. She got him pulled and took him home to be with her 6 other rescues and kept him in her master bathroom until he could get him sent to a longer-term foster.
A 182 came down from the Ft. Worth area (about 500 miles away), specifically and only for him and flew him back to Ft. Worth and I thought on to the OKC area. The pickup was done here at our FBO.
He got moved on to Colorado where I understand he is today- and doing very well.
Anyhow, I thought it was an inspiring story that might be worthy of publication on the website. I’d be happy to do it or defer to a better author but didn’t know how to go about doing such a thing.
Yours Truly,
Jim Taylor, PNP Pilot
