Five Pups leave Texas for the hills of TN

Ryan Abbey and some of his passengers after landing at Searcy, AR. Looks like a fun bunch of pups!! Not enough room for any crates. The pups just found there own spot for the flight.

Listen UP!! Dogs can FLY!

Flight Plan

Flight 1 – Rockwall, TX (East suburb of Dallas)
Flown by, Ryan Abbey. Ryan is an airman in the USAF, based at Little Rock AFB, AR.
His aircraft, 1948 Ercoupe.

Flight 2 – Searcy, AR to Columbia, TN
Flown by, Jim Carney , Germantown, TN.
His aircraft, 1977 Cessna Skylane.

The two flights to save the pups went very well. Ryan had a little fog in the Rockwall area but it burned off and he was able to land for the pick up. It is a long flight from Dallas to Searcy, AR in an Ercoupe. Actually, since Ryan lives in Searcy, it was a round trip from Searcy, AR to Rockwall, TX and back to Searcy, AR.

My flight with the pups to Columbia, TN was a non- event.

Thanks to:
Mary Rogers and Melinda of Russell Rescue – Texas base and Tennessee base.
Thanks for saving the lives of these cute small dogs.

Job well done by all,
Jim Carney

Yay Pilots and Paws!! I too have transported for Russell Rescue. I also met one of your pilots, scott I think, in Knoxville to hand off a load of Bassets for BellyRubs Basset Rescue. It truly is amazing, rewarding work. I thank you so much.
