Pilots N Paws

Poppy and Brandon

DSCF3589

Through no fault of her own, Poppy (now Poppie) found herself placed in the Paws of Hertford County, Inc ( https://www.pawsofhertfordcounty.com ) rescue organization in North Carolina.  Volunteers there saw what a great girl she is and looked for placement for her through New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue (NS4AR.org), based in Pennsylvania.  NS4AR agreed to help Poppie and with the help of their friends at Pilots N Paws ( https://pilotsnpaws.org/category/animals/dogs/ ).

Brandon Potter was the NC – VA pilot and kept Poppy overnight in his home when that leg was delayed due to weather. “This really speaks to the spirit of these wonderful pilots,” said Ann Lore of New Spirit, NC.

Poppie arrived in Pennsylvania.  She was then DSCF3586driven by car to her Foster Mom in E Stroudsburg, PA, where she is now learning about snow and getting lots of love while she and NS4AR search for her FUREVER home.   Poppie will be featured on the NS4AR.org website ( https://www.ns4ar.org/dogs-midatlantic.html ), while the search is on.  Poppie is excited to meet all people, other dogs and loves to play fetch with anything that you will toss.  Anyone interested in adopting the amazing girl can fill out the application on the NS4AR.org website.

I had the pleasure of flying Poppie (along with a few of her four-legged friends) from VA to PA following Brandon’s flight. She truly is a unique dog with a lot of spirit, energy and curiosity, in addition to being very affectionate.

She will make a great pet for some lucky new owner.
