This was an urgent request by Forever Husky Rescue of IL to fly the passengers from Hot Springs, AR to Bloomington, IL because the fosters could not keep them any longer. Since, the weather had been an issue in several other attempts to fly or drive, they needed to get transported ASAP.

Jim landed at Hot Springs late in the afternoon, in the rain, and loaded the Huskys and departed for Bloomington, IL where the Forever Husky Rescue Volunteers would meet him. He landed at 8PM with 5 happy Huskys. After taking some pictures, Jim fueled up and flew back to Covington, TN, landing at 11:45PM. The day wasn’t done as Jim fueled, cleaned up the dog hair up, and drove home with his head hiting the pillow at 2:15AM. Tired but a good tired!!

Kim Drury, Forever Husky Inc., “Would like to send a huge shout out to Pilots n Paws and Jim Carney. We had a PnP flight originally scheduled for Sunday April 16 that Chris Hilty was to take from Little Rock AR to St Louis MO and a driver, who happened to be going to Wisconsin, and would bring 2 momma dogs and 3 puppies to us. Weather was too variable and the flight was cancelled. Plan B was one of our volunteers was going to drive all the way to Little Rock AR from Lake in the Hills IL and back. Jim Carney stepped up and not only did he pick all the dogs up in Little Rock but he flew them even closer to us in Bloomington IL. What your pilot volunteers and your organization do for these animals is nothing short of a miracle. We can’t thank you enough for changing all these lives!   God Bless!”

What a great job Jim Carney does! He’s a Facebook friend of mine as well as a PnP Pilot I look up to. I did notice on FlightAware that he was flying at night which is a little unusual for a PnP flight. So glad everything turned out okay. These dogs were so fortunate to have Jim as their pilot.
