Get Your Pups in a Row Before Flight

May 3 , 2014

Mission

Help two different rescues at the same time.
Fly one Catahoula Pup, Bitsy, from Memphis to Nashville, TN. Bitsy was driven from Lafayette, LA to Memphis, TN.
Fly two special needs Aussies, Anisa and Sashi, from Memphis to Knoxville, TN. Anisa and Sashi were driven by Cheryl Lucius from Russelville, AR to Memphis.
I met both rescue volunteer’s in Memphis and drove all the Pups to my airplane in Covington, TN. All Pups were walked again and boarded in the back seat of my Cessna 182 and away we went to our first stop, Nashville John Tune Airport where we were met by Bitsy’s new family Tommy and Son Brian. Plus, several other helpers and dog lovers. After taking pictures, Anisa, Sashi and I were in the air headed for Knoxville Downtown Airport where Sibyl met us. After, a few pictures, back in the air headed West for the 2 hour 35 min. flight home. Due to my return load of Pups having to cancel, I went back to West TN, empty. The Aussies went by ground relay all the way to Maine.

Thanks

Tommy Ham and family for adopting Bitsy.
Kim Kieppel, Transport Coordinator, Sharon Bryant, Catahoula Transport Coordinator, Driver Cheryl Lucius, Driver Sibyl Marshall and Mike Bauch who fostered Bitsy for the night in Memphis. Also, to all the drivers who helped get the Aussies to Maine.  Doctor Monique Kramer DVM who will help the special need Aussies.

Great work done by all the rescues and volunteer’s who made this happen. I had the easy part.
