Two rescue flights combined, two Dogs get rescued

Two rescue flights combined, two Dogs get rescued

April 19, 2014

Rescue request one – West – Lab Maverick from Nashville, TN to Denver, CO. Maverick was going to his new furever home.

Rescue request two – East – Min Pin Goose. We named her Goose just for the day. Remember, the movie, Top Gun. Goose was going to her Foster Mom in Bowling Green, KY.

Mission objective – Get the dogs to both destinations using the same Pilots N Paws pilots.

Flight Plan – Westbound

Nashville to Covington, TN – Flown by PNP Pilot Mark Staggs. His passenger Lab Maverick.

Covington, TN to Springfield, MO – Flown by Jim Carney with Maverick riding “Jump Seat”.

Springfield, MO to Wichita, KS – Flown by Larry Sooby with Maverick.

Wichita, KS to Erie, CO – Flown by Jason Hurd. Jason flew Maverick to his new family.

Flight Plan – Eastbound

Jason Hurd flew Min-Pin Goose from Erie, CO to Wichita, KS and waited for Larry Sooby to return with Mavrick.

Larry Sooby flew Min-Pin Goose to Springfield, MO.
After the Dogs were exchanged, Jim Carney flew Min-Pin Goose to Jackson, TN. Min-Pin Goose went by ground to Bowling Green, KY where she arrived safe and sound.

Thanks to all who helped with this West – East rescue mission.
Special mention goes to, the Spillane Family for adopting Maverick, TN SPCA, Lorene Steffes, Transport Coordinator and Monitor for Maverick and coordinating Min-Pins ground to KY, Min-Pins Drivers and the dedicated folks with True Heart Min-Pin Rescue.

One more picture. It is the GA FBO at the Springfield, MO Airport. One of the best in the country. As you can see in the picture, they are very dog friendly and LOVE the Pilots N Paws mission.
