Rosa Heads to the Texas Coast
Rosa was a gorgeous and calm two-year-old Catahoula hound whose time ran out at the Bryan TX Animal Control Center (euthanasia date set for 9/5/2014). Mary Dupont of Catahoula Rescue located a last-minute foster in Corpus Christi TX, but Rosa had to be moved and quickly. With promise of a flight, animal control would give Rosa a reprieve of a day or two, but no more, so Mary was looking for transport on Saturday or Sunday, 9/6 or 9/7.
Big issue: the Texas A&M Aggies had a home football game on Saturday, and both local airports get slammed on game day and the day after, sometimes running out of room to park planes. With Wade Roberts’s word that he would fly Rosa Monday or Tuesday, an animal control officer sprang Rosa and took her home for boarding until her flight.
Early on 9/9/2014, sweet Rosa boarded 20223 for her flight to Corpus Christi and safety.
