5000 Animal Resc Wk-got dogs, need temp homes

Postby maddoxbonnie on Wed May 20, 2009 11:47 am

My name is Sallie & I volunteer for a couple of diff NC rescs & would love to participate in this!! I know we'll have NO issues finding NC/SC boxers, dogs/cats in general that need & deserve our united front & help!!
Our problem is finding SAFE, EMPTY NON-KILL SHELTERS & EMPTY RESCUES & EMPTY FOSTER HOMES to send them to. (which I know would be further up north it seems). Does anyone have ANY suggestions on how to "find" these EMPTY, SAFE NON-KILL SHELTERS (w/ space)? Any Rescs know if they'll have EMPTY foster homes in Sept? If so, we can get you dogs...and since one of the rescs I volunteer for IS breed-specific- many BOXERS do need help here in NC/SC. The other rescs are non-breed specific.

I can't imagine any rescue knowing if they will have space in Sept. There are several rescues I work with, that know about this, and want very much to be a part of it, because what PNP offers saves so many lives. They are willing to take in extra fosters if they don't have some adopted before this happens. Once word gets around, hopefully other rescues will be able to take in 1 or 2 extras, to prove how important this program is. 1 or 2 extra per rescue, would easily make the 5000 across the Country.

Its too bad we don't have a facebook page,on there people share and their friends share and so on and the impact is huge,I just had only 1 little dog rescued from Lancaster,California, and there are hundreds and it's broken my heart,I can't even look at the photos because these poor babies don't have a chance,we need to stop puppy mills, Close puppy Stores and make adopting and transport more affordable,I have spent over 600.00 dollars to get this little dog rescued and I feel so insignificant. If you'd like to help,go to PET PARDONS AND CLICK ADVOCATE,and then you can somehow get them pardoned[sounds unfair as there are too many all deserving a forever home, please help. PLEASE
