We foster cats for Save our Strays and recently one of our kittens was
adopted by a lovely elderly couple Tom and Ana who lost their 6 year old
cat after a serious illness. They were heartbroken and decided to give
another kitten a loving home so they adopted Mistletoes. They are from PA
and spend the cold winters in Florida. On Tuesday last when they were
scheduled to return to Philadelphia, their shuttle driver arrived early.
When he entered their apartment to carry out their luggage, he startled the
kitten . Then he made matters worse by trying to catch the kitten. Ana
told me that he had a very loud voice. Tom has a disability and walks with
the aid of a walker so he was unable to help. Mistletoes went and hid
behind the water heater in the hall closet and they were unable to coax her
out. Devastated, they called me and asked if we would pick her up after
work and they left for the airport. Ana was in tears. We told her we
would pick up the kitten and find a way to get Mistletoes to PA. I am very
familiar with Pilots N Paws as we have been fostering dogs and cats for the
past several years. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Mistletoes is about 8 months old and she is a beautiful and loving kitten.
We want to get her back to her family as soon as possible. Thank you.
