How to add yourself to the Temp Foster Google Map

Postby admin on Thu Jan 29, 2009 9:30 pm

Thank you to all the temp foster volunteers for offering to assist in emergency situations along any given route. There is a foster map on the homepage and to be added, you must go to your profile page and answer a couple of easy questions there. The map should then pick up your information and list you.

To see if you are listed, go to the homepage, http://www.pilotsnpaws.org scroll down to the foster map, click on View Larger and a list should come up on the left hand side of the page.

If you are not listed, and want to be, here's what you need to do.

1. Log into the forum
2. Click on User Control Panel in the upper left hand corner under Board Index
3. Click on the Profile tab, scroll down and check the yes box next to foster and fill in your zip code. You can also type your contact phone numbers, etc. in the box that asks for additional information. This info will not be viewed by all members, only you and those of us with admin rights will be able to access that infor and share it with a pilot who needs to land.

Rescues and shelters, please remember that it is your responsibility to approve the temp fosters who are listed. We suggest that you do this prior to any flight you are sending along a particular route. If the flight has mulitple legs and pilots, then having temp fosters lined up is of the highest priority for your animals and the pilots. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thanks Everyone!
