Air 51 KLEX, KMDQ, KAVL

This forum is for anyone to list an FBO they have worked with who are pet friendly to animal transport personnel and who have generously offered fuel discounts. If you have had a positive experience with a particular FBO, please give them "high fives" and list them here!

Air 51 in Lexington, KY (KLEX) has a fuel discount for PnP/Bluegrass Shih Tzu rescue pilots. If you haven't used Air 51 FBO before (at any airport), they are newer kids on the airport, and go above the norms for customer service.

Madison County, AL (KMDQ) has a fuel discount for PnP pilots.

Odyssey in Asheville, NC (KAVL) allowed the dogs to walk on leash in the FBO, and on the tarmac.____________

Air 51 at KLEX is excellent. I brought three dogs for the first transport and two were in crates and were barking alot and they let me put them in the hanger, that is connected to the main building. I also was allowed to keep the third dog uncrated and on her leash in the terminal building, which is nicely appointed. All the personnel have been friendly and helpful. They always offer me coffee and are intersted in the dogs, their stories and PnP.
