Additional info/situation: This cat belongs to a young couple in the Air Force. When they were stationed in Alaska they were not able to take their family cat at the time. So we are trying to figure out how to get their baby to them.

I no longer have access to an airplane but I can help drive approximately 100 mile radius of St. Louis, depending on work schedule.

I think you may find it difficult to get enough volunteers to get this guy all the way to AK.
Since it is only 1 cat, your best bet may be to take an airline flight to Washington and have someone meet you half way or all the way to Anchorage (most airlines will allow the cat be to carried on board with you if it is in a small carrier).
