How soon may I post?

The purpose of this forum is NOT to post or coordinate transports but to mentor those who would like to learn how to utilize the "Ride Board: Animals Needing Transport" features. Volunteer mentors will do their best to answer your questions and share their knowledge and experience.

I need to get a rescue dog transported from Atlanta,GA to Anchorage,AK for January. When is an appropriate time to start posting for this?

If no one responds by tomorrow, I am going to just call it good and post in the first week in November and start emailing folks now.

You can post at any time, but GA to AK unfortunately is too far for our
small plane pilot volunteers to assist you. Most of our pilots fly single-engine planes, and are therefore limited to 250 nautical miles
(200 ground miles). You would need too many pilots all available sequentially, as well as overnight fosters along the way. Weather & mechanical issues really can mess up the best of plans.

Your best options are likely going to be commercial airlines. If funds are needed, many people use gofundme.com, asking for donations for a particular need. I would also contact Operation Roger--a network of trucks that provide ground transport.

I do hope you can find a way. We would help if we could, and please keep us in mind if you are in need of a shorter distance flight.
