Human rescue by puppy

Postby nurseTom on Wed Mar 20, 2013 3:38 am

I have a friend in Oak Island N.C. Just about the time he lost one of his closest friends, a dog to old age, he learned he has cancer of the kidney.
He had cryogenic treatment and then within a month or two, it came back and he is in very real trouble.
I just had a litter of mini Schnauzers born--one snow white. I posted photos and my friend asked for the white pup. The dog is now 4 weeks old. I hold the puppies until 7 weeks old so in about 3-4 weeks I need some help to get the puppy to Oak Island. The date now is 3-19-12. I am in Texarkana, Texas. My home is # 903-832-2950. The puppy will go to Oak Island and the adoptee's name is Andy. He is willing to go anywhere in North or South Carolina and meet the puppy. I have his contact info and will provide upon demand.
I UNDERSTAND THE WAY PNP WORKS IS TO RESCUE THE PUP. IN THIS CASE IT IS THE HUMAN IN NEED and as a long time nurse I believe that the puppy will go a long way to improve Andy chance at beating his cancer by giving him the known health benefits only an animal (pet) can provide. The research supports me on this, so your rescue would not be the pup--but the human on the other end! E-Mail drutomhh@aol.com I hope some one can help my friend by getting his little helper to him Tom :) :D

Hi Tom,
Such a sad story for your friend. Please post your transport request to the section titled Ride Board: Animals Needing Transport. That is where pilots look to see where they can help.
Best wishes for getting the puppy there & for success for Andy.

Just a little clarification. We are not a rescue organization...we are pilots and volunteers share this message board to assist with transport. You are on the right track tho. Post your request.
