"You know what they say about to many chefs in the kitchen...."

To be honest I fly for many volunteer groups both animals & Humans. I find by far PNP to be the easiest to fly for.
Just ask anyone who ever sat on a committee (or just look at our Govt) the most effecient & fastest way to get things done is to let 2 people work things out between them.
When I get asked to do a rescue & I am relaying with another pilot, Once the rescue has everything in order I ask for the other pilots phone number & we work out the details ourselves.
I find it is the simplicity & freedom that PNP gives its pilots that makes it work as good as it does & why it is my favorite group to fly for.

Safe Flying!

I am a vol for ARF as well. Yet, not one transport I've agreed to fly has gone off. Not one. In every single instance someone or other can't fly this or that leg. And in one case, I said I wasn't sure I could do the leg on the day requested, so I had to get back with them if I could. I could not fly that day. I was going to be out of town. I did not get back with them as I could not go. I forgot my charger, and the evening before the scheduled flight I did not vol for, I get a call from "the person bringing the dog to you in the morning". My phone dies, no way of calling them back right away. I did have my computer and sent a bunch of e mails trying to figure out that mess. I have done around 20 or so missions with PNP, flying around 60 or so dogs this last yr. But, none for ARF as they never seem to be able to fill all legs.

ART--I have found quite the opposite with ARF.....well planned flights....back-up if necessary...the animals vetted with paperwork to prove it...... well prepared (sometimes with a mild herbal tranq for very anxious or active adult) and having been told not to feed them in the a.m....crate sizes provided and crates if necessary.....and I have flown as much or as little as I wanted.
The only time a flight was cancelled was b/c of weather along the route.

I still find it easiest to pull from a ground transport---this way there is no sense of urgency to move the animals--they are already moving by car. I just step in and make it a little shorter.

Such is life. We are all different--our experiences are all different.
