This morning, one of the POPA pilots was on 770AM WABC Radio (NY), John Gambling Show, talking about how at least 25 of these POPA pilots, with their own planes and money, dropped thousands and thousands of dollars worth of food supplies, like an enormous amount of formula and rice to the orphanages. Truly good people with big hearts. Perhaps they would coordinate with volunteer pilots from PNP for Haitian animal related relief.

We're in contact with IFAW who has been on the ground in Haiti with WSPA since Sat. 1/23. They met with reps from USAID and FAO. Gov't officials req. support from ARCH (Animal Relief Coalition of for Haiti) but not sure what they've done so far. They will keep us in the loop when add'l assistance is needed. In the meantime, we're slowly lining up kennels in no-kill shelters, rescue groups and foster homes (up and down the eastern seabord we hope, but for now in NYC) to save adoptable cats and dogs in Haiti. We really don't have donations coming in and are working on our incorporation papers, but if you are a volunteer pilot and contact POPA, please let us know what else we can do and if you want us to relay a message to IFAW/WSPA.

Also, please see http://rescuechocolate.com/, our friend Sarah Gross and Rescue Chocolate is donating to the IFAW and WSPA Haiti relief effort.

Thank you,
