HAPPY 2nd ANNIVERSARY TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF PILOTS N PAWS!

Post by admin » Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:19 pm

Hi All,

It was two years ago that we made our first "official" Pilots N Paws flight. Co-founder Jon Wehrenberg flew a crippled doberboy to rescue and we have come quite a long way since then!

A huge THANK YOU to ALL of you for making this program successful and helping so many animals find new kind an loving homes, you are the BEST!!

Thank *you* folks for putting this together, and I'm grateful for all of the pilots and volunteers who take part. I'm privileged and delighted to be a member! Congratulations on such awesome growth in two years; I feel for Steve, but wrangling a google map of too many folks sure beats seeing an empty one :-)

I also want to thank all of you who have been a part of PNP.

This is your site and all of you are not only saving the lives of many animals that would otherwise be euthanized, but you are helping to make the public aware of just how serious the problem is with millions of animals needlessly euthanized because of weak, or unenforced, or non-existent spay and neuter laws and regulations.

Thanks again.

Again, I can not thank you ALL enough for all that you are doing. I am not a pilot (was a flight attendant for 25 years) so, besides volunteering to assist on the ground, I have asked my Florida Bearded Collie Club to donate some monies to PNP. It may not be much (we try and raise funds to rescue the Bearded Collies in shelters, most from Puppy Millers) but if each rescue group could donate a tank of gas for their car to PNP (for the leg they are NOT driving) it would augment the coffers of PNP and assist with administrative duties. So, you will be recieving a check from the Bearded Collie Club of Central Florida (our rescue group is a 501 c 3) shortly as our Birthday Present to PNP. (Just need to know where to send the check!)

Pilots and Paws is second to none as a animal rescue resource and service to the animal rescue community at large, and individually to each animal, & to those of us who love them so, that are rescued by its many members in one way or another.
Please keep up the awesome work!!!!!!!!!

With Heartfelt Gratitude, :!:

You know, every time we fly a pup somewhere. Every single time, you just have to stop and get down on your knee to pet and assure them they are safe. When you do, every single time, you get a doggie kiss, and see the worry in their eyes. You reassure them in a soothing voice. And instantly know why you do this. It's not their fault. It's ours. So, with the help of P N P and it's volunteers, fosters, drivers, and pilots we all try to make it right. Thanks to Jon, and Debi for what they do!!

There is just something wrong with a dog named BO taking a flight in a 210.
