ALL TRANSPORT REQUESTS MUST BE POSTED TO THE RIDE BOARD!

Hello Everyone,
As Pilots N Paws continues to grow, we felt that it was time to remind everyone how the system is set up to operate. All requests MUST be posted to the Ride Board:Animals Needing Transport, no exceptions. This is done in order to give our pilots the option of using our 501c3 status for their taxes at the end of the year. If your request is not posted and replied to, it is difficult for them to verify that they offered their generous gift of a rescue flight to your group.
Even if you have an established relationship with a pilot who flies for you repeatedly, take a few minutes and post the request on the Ride Board and reply to it yourself if need be, thanking the pilot/s for making the flight. After you have connected with a pilot/pilots then it is likely more convenient to take your final arrangement plans private and copy everyone in together on an email. Pilots will advise you on their airports of choice, days, times, etc. and most are very accomodating to your schedules as well. We always need to keep in mind that weather is a deciding factor on the day a pilot can fly. Unlike ground transport, it's not possible to just pull over to the side of the road if the weather suddenly turns inclement
Once the flight is accomplished, or even if it has already been completed when you post the request, mark the post DONE so our board volunteers can move the request to the DONE/completed section or cancelled if that is the case.
We cannot stress how important it is to follow the guidelines and suggestions for this forum. It will keep everyone on a good track of communication which is paramount in helping the animals who need us. Please remember that it is a generous gift from volunteer pilots to rescues to be able to make complete these requests , so we would greatly appreciate your cooperation in keeping this organization running as smoothly as possible.
Thank each of you for all the tireless work you do on behalf of all rescue animals.
