Hi ,
I registered here, but went back and changed my profile. I am a pilot in the DC area, but do not have my own aircraft, but am interested in helping and flying copilot with anyone.(lots of pilot experience) Any suggestions on what I can do, or how I should change my profile?

Thanks,
SM Dailey

I don't think there is a profile item for "co-pilots." Best I can suggest is to keep your profile as is. If you see a flight you are interested in, subscribe to the thread and if it gets picked up, send a message to the pilot saying you would like to come along.

I know that if I were doing the flight solo, I'd probably jump at having someone join me.

You can try and rent. I know that FlyBoys Flight Center in Georgia gives a 50$ per hour rate for PNP flights.

I rent as well. Just make a point of using crates exclusively, keep the plane clean, give it a shot of deodorizer at the completion of the flight. Also check with the renter -- some might be concerned about other renters having allergies or somesuch issue. Good luck!

In case anyone checks this. I am a pilot in the Northeast. I fly out of Bedford, MA (KBED) and do animal rescue flights with a Cherokee 140. I sometimes need a co-pilot who can help with dogs, crates, etc. and would love to have someone who is a pilot come along. If anyone reads this and is interested, let me know.

Thanks, Margery (aka Mooseman)

I think is an excellent idea to somehow being able to find a copilot. I prefer to fly with someone with experience next to me, I can learn something and get some help and both we gain experience and log hours.

I appreciate this post as I am currently in this situation but would like to help. I am in central Illinois and would like to offer my help as a copilot. I posted more detail about my situation here: https://pilotsnpaws.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=50177. If anyone is interested in this area drop me a text and we'll see what we can do. I will continue checking local flights as well. Thanks.

Neil
