This is so sad that these poor dogs are not only in shelters and need emergency care, but they need to go all the way to MI to get help? I can't imagine what a hardship on these animals to travel under these circumstances. Isn't there a way to help them locally and then transport when they are better? I live in Manhattan and could ask my vet, but I just don't know the protocol for this type of thing.

Can't a local rescue group help with this situation?

I can't even help with my plane as it is in the shop for annual.

Please advise if I can help.
Best,
Doug

I agree. i wish a local rescue would step up but I cant sit and watch them in pain. They are on their way to Staten Island Emergency Vet for stabilization right now and then we still need transport ASAP if you have any connections. Even someone willing to drive them part way to Michigan would be AWESOME . I have someone in Michigan willing to meet part of the way. Please share them so we can get them the help they deserve

We will be flying these Dogs to Dubois, PA (KDUJ) tomorrow arriving about noon. There is a ground transport option, but if anyone can fly the second leg on short notice, it would be a huge help and a lot easier on the dogs. If interested, please contact me ASAP.
