Ok! I will be flying to northern CA weather permitting this saturday and Id be happy to take some rescued animals. Yes I do know a bit about rabbits (used to have one) and transporting these delicate creatures. In order for me to transport, you MUST have the rabbit in an appropriately sized, hard shell crate that I can hand off to the receiving party as trying to do a transfer out of a crate at an airport would also be not safe for a rabbit in my opinion. If the crate is too large, the rabbit could be seriously injured if it jumps around in the crate, or if there is any turbulence. If the crate is too large, or you do not have one for the trip, I would not be able to safely take the bunny. Hard shell plastic/ vinyl needed as I know how effectively they can nibble! A good guide on appropriate crate sizing can be found here:

My intention, weather permitting, is to leave Saturday morning May 11 from long beach with a meeting time of around 8:45am. Will likely be flying with other separately crated rescued animals, and if the loading goes on time, should be in the Livermore airport somewhere between 11:30 and 1:30 pm. Let me know if this works and you can supply your bunny's crate.
