I have a Cessna 177 Cardinal. I am only a VFR Pilot. Please add me to the list of pilots that can help. I can carry medium to small dogs. I am in school around the Shelby, NC area and can easily access the Shelby/Cleveland County Regional Airport. I am mostly available on weekends but maybe can work in some time during the week if i know a couple of weeks ahead of time. Can't wait to start helping and flying!!

Thank you so much for joining! We have had several new pilots join since the USA TODAY article came out and this is why spreading the word is so important......We know that pilots will volunteer, they just need to hear about us!

Shelby, NC (NW NC) is a part of the country that we really need coverage in-- so many of our requests come from NC, SC, TN, KY,. What is the flight area/distance you would be able to cover? That is always helpful for rescue volunteers to know.
