Janet - there is a Volunteer Map link at the top right here.
http://pilotsnpaws.org/maps/maps_volunteers.php
You can then filter by fosters/pilots and adjust the map to the area you are looking for.
We'll be adding some more mapping options with the new google maps api... feel free to give ideas!

Mapping and pilot search is not working...have tried IE and Firefox/Mozilla....nothing
Re: Mapping Options are down, NOT ANY MORE UPDATE GREAT NEWS
For now, please try the VolunteerMap up at the top. You can zoom into a region and filter it according to the last active date of members, and whether they are pilots, fosters, or both. Clicking the icons will bring up the member's profile containing a link.
Re: Mapping Options are down, NOT ANY MORE UPDATE GREAT NEWS
CAn you tell me another option to see the pilots available along a route as mapping options are not working and i need a pilot in covington , Tn for this sunday as i have now found a pilot who can connect but dont know how to see the pilots without mapping options
Re: Mapping Options are down, NOT ANY MORE UPDATE GREAT NEWS
At the top of the screen (to the left of the Logout button) click VolunteerMap.
Click the Pilots radio button.
Change the timeframe if desired.
Click Search.
Now zoom in on your route until you can see the separate pilots pins. There are two ways to do this:
1) Put the pointer on your route and double click until you are zoomed in, or
2) Using the slider on the left, zoom in a little, then center the map, repeat until you are zoomed in on your location.

Update on the maps:
The latest volunteer map (@ http://pilotsnpaws.org/maps/maps_volunteers.php ) now clusters the volunteers into big groups when viewing at a zoomed-out level. Simply zoom with your mousewheel or by clicking to see the detail.
The first load of the page will show clusters of volunteers, like this:
Clicking on the red cluster near Ohio will zoom to this:
And so on...
Speaking of detail, the volunteer map only showed a single pilot or volunteer for a location. So if there were 3 pilots at an airport, you'd just see one icon.
The quick fix that is in place now will show all the pilots (or volunteers around a zipcode) in a gaggle of icons. The next step will be to make this popup as a list, so for now, you just have to manually click the 3 or 4 pilots are the airport to contact them.
They will show up like this:
If you have any troubles or comments, please reply here or PM me.

Re: Mapping Options are down, NOT ANY MORE UPDATE GREAT NEWS
I tried the new mapping option but I still can not find the pilots. For example, when I click on Nashville, I just get a psudo map...no pilot info. I tried it about 5 times and nada. Please help.

Hi Carol,
Thanks for the tip. For some reason, I had to switch to Google Chrome (ugh) to use the mapping option. All is good now.
