Buffalo News story about Pilots N Paws sparks online debate

Post by AnneNeville » Wed Oct 30, 2013 1:48 pm

I first wrote about Pilots N Paws last year as part of a rescue of a dog from Ohio that was surrendered after living tied out to a doghouse. I wanted to write more about the group, and finally was able to coordinate with local pilot Mahesh Sankaran and observe an arrival and transfer of five dogs to a rescue. Just over a week later, Mahesh met up again with three puppies and an adult German shepherd he flew from Ohio to Buffalo.
The posting on The Buffalo News' Facebook page drew nearly 400 "likes" and generated a healthy debate on why dogs and other adoptable animals are brought to different areas to be adopted. Please check it out, if you are so inclined, and thank you to ALL volunteers who work with Pilots N Paws!
