Lil dogs & pups- Washington, NC to Asheville, NC

Postby maddoxbonnie on Sat Dec 12, 2009 1:06 pm

1 young Maltese mix, 1 small "senior" Maltese, 1 "senior" lil terrier mix, 1 MaMa Chuggle w/ her 6 Chuggle pups hitched a ride from Washington, NC to Asheville, NC because they found warm & loving "foster" homes for the holidays. All these sweet pooches came from an "owner" surrendering 131 dogs to an already full local high-kill gassing facility in Beaufort County that has only 26 kennel runs. Yes..I did say 131 dogs from 1 "breeder" lady.
In this particular air transport we'd like to specifically thank PnP pilot Tim Moreland out of Salisbury, NC for flying the sweet doggies & Vicky in Old Fort, NC @ Healing Hearts Small Animal Rescue for finding them a warm safe place to stay (foster homes) until adopted.

Also, luckily Washington, NC's local rescue called InnerBanks Canine Rescue was able to help tremendously in saving MANY of these 131+ MANY WONDERFUL THANX & KUDOS go out to them! They were able to work with the local vets at Pamlico Animal Hospital in helping save many. Through the help of other Rescues & this great wonderful group of PnP pilots, lots of animals have been saved from Washington, NC in Beaufort County & now have a chance at a new loving & safe life. :P We could NOT do this without EVERYONE'S help!! :P

 What a MERRY HOLIDAY PRESENT TO EVERYONE, especially the pooches ;-)

Hi, this is Vicky with Healing Hearts Small Animal Rescue. This took a lot of team work to pull off and I along with the rest of our rescue group would like to thank Sallie for getting this transport together, Denyce and Mary for being the voice of these dogs and asking other rescues to step up and help out and Mr. Tim Moreland for being the "dog gone" best pilot! We did not know about Pilots N Paws until we were contacted about this tansport so to all of the members and founders of this orginazation---------Thank you, because of you eleven dogs are now safe. Merry Christmas.

This is Mary with InnerBanks. We want to shout a big THANK YOU to all those involved in this rescue transport.
PnP has opened up the Western part of the state to us and I am sure we will be calling for more pilot assistance in the future.

These dogs were very special to us and we are thrilled to have received all the help from other rescuers and PnP.
We will be recruiting pilots anytime we have the opportunity.

Thanks, again for another flawless transport.
