The METAR for Jacksonville was at minimums, I wasn’t sure we were going to be able to get down and called Patty with our alternate plan. We took off into solid white IMC and never saw ground nor sky en route. Preparing for the approach we got the Jacksonville ASOS and it reported a hair above mins and we felt relieved. We flew the approach and broke out a couple hundred feet above the reported ceiling. The weather gods smiled on us.

I walked into the house at about 4 a.m.! We were giddy with delight on the way home. Best night I have had in a long time!
