Additional Info/situation: Biscuit's injury is not life threatening, but it requires treatment as soon as possible. He had to undergo a full stray hold at the Clare Co. Animal Control Shelter with one eye mostly out of the socket. Appears to be a long term injury. We will know more in a couple of hours after his vet appointment. He was pulled as soon as allowed by law, yesterday and moved to a temp foster home last night. He is getting shots and a health certificate tonight and will be ready to travel immediately there after. I am working to organize a traditional ground relay transport for this weekend. One or two flights, any portion of the route, would be a Godsend, however. We can work to position him wherever you need him. The most difficult part of the trip to fill by relay will be from about Joliet IL to Waseca MN [just south of Minneapolis] He is stable, in good spirits, very out-going. The ground route is I-94 E [MI] to I-80 [IN-IL-IA-MN] to I-35 N [MN] Time Zone Notes: Trip originates in Eastern Standard and switches to Central Standard at the MI / IN state line on I-94
Update: According to the vet tonight, this sweet little guy is only 2 or 3 years old. The eye is not causing him much pain, but it needs to go as soon as we can get him to his rescue in MN.
