I am definitely in (with Mark if he can still meet me) to pick up at OXC or a nearby airport and deliver the JRT to New Bedford. I am night current. I have done many winter (and spring, fall and summer flights) without a hitch and many pilots are not IFR rated. It is not a requirement and I think we'll be fine. Charlie, I appreciate that concern, but it hasn't stopped many flights from successfully completing and if you're willing to be an IFR back up just in case, that would be a generous offer and greatly appreciated!

If there are a couple of legs that can meet up and get the JRT to Mark, then I suspect we have a flight to get this pup home,

Margery

Sorry guys I can't do the GSO leg..... Plane is unavailable. I'll get with some other pilots to see if someone else can take it.

Hello All,

An instrument rating doesn't assist most of us during the wintertime. IFR flight into IMC often results in ICE for those of use with no deicing equipment.

Charlie, where are you based?

Hi Mark,
I'm based at KTAN. I totally agree with you about icing. But it's only a concern as you know, if there's freezing rain and/or the freezing level is too low to fly it safely. The forecast weekend temps. so far appear not to be a factor.

Hello Robin, just got your text today, my recommendations:
Leg #1: GSO to OFP/XSA
Leg #2: OFP/XSA to MIV
Leg #3: per the other pilots who have responded decisions
Leg #4: per the other piltos who have responded decisions

Unfortunately, Zack can't go, as the airplane is booked. I have students all day Saturday and Sunday, so I'm a little booked right now. Let's keep asking to see what we get.

Thank you Mark - Did something change that i am not aware of?
Charlie has helped me to coordinate this transport so Charlie is the one meeting you, and taking Cheer home to Massachusetts. While I appreciate Margery's offer to help, I don't want to cut Charlie out of this transport since he has done so much already.
