Additional Info/situation: Dog was rescued from a county shelter a year or so ago - had apparently been relinquished there after defending against a strange dog. She is a guardian breed, trained to protect small livestock. While guarding flock on ranch land, she (doing her job) went after a neighbor dog that started coming onto property. The altercation occurred on the neighbor's side of property line so neighbors say dog must go.
She is a dedicated guardian dog, who is *fantastic* with people and with dogs who LIVE in her household. However, a new home in AZ has not been found and if she is returned to the shelter, she has two strikes now and will be euthanized. Shelby has a great home waiting for her in SE Iowa farm country, with people who understand her breed.

There is a chance that she can hitch a ride Tucson-Lincoln (departing Tucson early Friday a.m.) and if that works out, the Lincoln NE - Des Moines IA would be the only remaining leg. Paws crossed!
Thank you!!
