Hello pilots,
Charlie is right, we haven't heard from "optimaldermis" regarding this mission. I sent an email to this address to see whether or not the mission is still needed and for us to hear something back.

Hello everyone,
I just spoke with Marlene, the rescuer who has requested our help. Here's what I think we're looking at:
- Daniel: Bluffton, SC to Raleigh, NC
- Steve: Raleigh, SC to Frederick, MD
- Dean: Frederick, MD to Poughkeepsie, NY
- Charlie: Poughkeepsie, NY to East Tannton, MA

Sunday, December 23rd is the only window for wx to cooperate this weekend in the northeast as far as I can tell. Otherwise it's next weekend, as the wx in the northeast is not looking good all week.

Let me know your thoughts and etd / eta's for each leg.

Marlene, please confirm that all your paperwork is in order to transport Dasher across state lines.

Dean

Dean and all,

Sunday the 23rd is fine with me; need to confirm with Daniel to make sure this weekend works. (He initially proposed doing the mission the following weekend, after Christmas.)

I could get down to the Raleigh area (exact airport TBD) about 1000 to pick Dasher up, then on to FDK around 1145.

Dean and all,
Sunday I won't be available (family member scheduled for some heavy duty surgery) anytime after that I'm available. I can go IFR, provided no freezing rain and the freezing level is high enough.

Dean, will Danbury, CT (KDXR) work OK for you, rather than KPOU?

Happy Holidays all!

Unfortunately, I'm only available this Sunday Charlie. Danbury is ok, another 15 minutes east of KPOU for me. I'm based at Poughkeepsie, that's why I selected this location as our transfer point.

But if you're not available Sunday and we decide it's a go, I can board Dasher overnight then fly him to MA on Monday if we can't find another pilot to cover the last leg.

Hey Charlie,
I can board Dasher overnight and that sounds like a plan if this thing comes together for this Sunday. If you can meet me at Poughkeepsie, that would save me another flight Monday.

Marlene, looks like we're waiting to hear form Daniel regarding his ability to fly Sunday, December 23rd. Winds are expected to be significant Saturday especially in the mid-Atlantic area, expecting to calm down a bit by Sunday.

Dean,
I could met you at Poughkeepsie on Monday if the flight goes off as planned on Sunday. Keep me advised.

Thanks,
