Number of animals being transported: 4
Breeds, weight, age: Great Pyrenees, 15, 15, 18 10, currently 8 weeks 11 weeks at time of travel.
Health Condition: 3 in excellent Harck, one of the puppies, has PDA (an operable heart defect but surgery has to happen ASAP)
Heart worm Status: HW negative
Vaccinations: DHLPP 1 set. Bordatella
Health Certificate: yes
Spay/Neutered: no
Special needs: no
Name of Sending Rescue/Parties Lisa Garrison (In Dallas) 479-283-1545
Name of Receiving Rescue/Parties: Amy Knight---Director--White River Animal Rescue
Contact information (publicly viewable on forum): Amy Knight (In Vermont) 617-459-3022
Are you a 501c3: yes
Additional Info/situation: This is an extremely Urgent situation. We pulled four Pyrenees puppies out of a shelter in Roanoke Texas on 1/14/13. Lisa (contact info above) stated that this was the worst shelter she has ever been in. There are no windows and the facility smelled like amnonia. These puppies were scheduled for euthanasia. They were brought immediately to a Veterinarian in Dallas where it was discovered that the smallest baby, Harck, has a hole in her heart. Also known as, PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus). This defect has an extremely high success rate after surgery, but time is of the essence. Harck and her sisters desperately need to get to New England so that Harck can have the surgery she needs to live. Harck and her sisters all have anxious foster homes waiting for their arrival.

This is Harck who must have surgery to repair the hole she has in her heart.

I can pick them up somewhere in CT and fly them to Lebanon, NH, someday next week if it helps. Sounds to me to be at least a four leg flight.

I am based in Leesburg, Va, just outside of DC. If someone can get the pups to us on Sunday ( 1/27) AM, we could fly them to CT for Charlie to pick up and bring them to NH. They might have to leave Dallas on Sat and board overnight somewhere to get them to us on Sunday.

Will do Charlie. The long range forecast for Sunday also looks quite good.

Amy,

That's a beauty. We've got to find a way to get them up here.

Amy,

Any word yet from the pilot's down south about whether they can do the mission this weekend? I am getting requests for other missions, but I would love to do this one if possible.

Rick
