Belgian Sheepdog Kenze is in Crystal Lake TX and was turned in to rescue due to her owner’s severe allergies. She needs a ride to her foster in Covina CA, east of Los Angeles. A volunteer can take her to either K5C1 or KCVB in the San Antonio area for pick up, and the Covina volunteer can pick her up at arrival in either El Monte KEMT, La Verne KPOC, or any other airports more convenient to the pilot.

This is a trip of approx 1010 nm; El Paso, Las Cruces and Tucson are possible transfer points. Fosters are available along the entire route in case there are delays, or if overnight stays are necessary.

Kenze is a friendly and gentle 5 year old female weighing 55 pounds. A seat belt/restraint system would be best since she would require a large crate (40L x 30H). A crate this size will fit in a C172 if it’s set on an angle w/o the seat, but it is a tight fit. I will gladly mail a seat belt harness for her use if an available pilot doesn’t have one.

Scheduling is completely open and all rides are greatly appreciated!

I’ll email pilots directly but wanted to post in case there are others that might be available. Reach me at [email protected].

Thank you!

Thank you, Chip! It's coming together and I'll email when the middle leg firms up a little more.

Palm Springs PSP is right on course from 5C1, but HMT is also a possibility depending on the route of the previous leg.
