Not Needed - Kansas City, MO - Battle Creek, MI - REPTILES

Post by GetMeTherePlease » Wed Jun 17, 2009 9:41 am

Ok I know that Jeff down in FL would possibly jump on this one so I am hoping we have some other pilots that like the reptiles too.

Seems an Alligator (yes you read this right) a 5ft Alligator and his side kick a Monitor Lizard were rescued from a drug house in Kansas City and are in need of getting to a sanctuary in Battle Creek MI ASAP or they will be Put to sleep.........

Soooo my question is can this be done? and if so who is willing to assist with this.

Looking at the google map it is about 10 hours 19 mins by ground so three legs by air...............Please let me know if your able to assist (once you stop laughing and can see straight)

All the necessary paperwork will accompany these two for transport

Just wanted to give you an update that this is no longer needed............After some research closer to home a zoo in NE was found to be the best place for this gator with a special "Dessert Dome" year round and a wonderful staff that will care for this boy and get him healthy again. It is said that he is WHITE because he has not seen the sun. As for his side kick the Monitor Lizard he will be going to a Sanctuary in Lincoln NE that specializes in his species and he'll be safe and happy.

I know this was an odd request believe me, but when an animal (any animal) is in need and threatened with death just for being what it is I feel the need to reach out and try to help if I can................

Thank you all for even looking at this post.....BTW I was told by a alligator specialist that this guy would have fit in the back of a car, just needed to have his mouth taped shut, stay away from his nostrils (I'm not sure why) stay alert and all would have been ok
