Thank you, to all of you amazing pilots, for helping get these dogs to a foster home that will work on their issues and help them become companion animals.

Dog bless you :D

Just catching up, I gather the 'weather gods' did not cooperate for the relay flight on March 10th. Are we able to re-schedule for next weekend? If so, please advise as the Watertown foster will be sending someone else to retrieve the dogs and I will provide their contact information.

Hi Deanna,

I believe we are able to reschedule for next week. I think Dan is available, I am also, I am not 100% sure about Brian. I am available to do it both on Saturday or Sunday.
However, I did speak with Vikki and she said she is not able to drop off the dogs next weekend as she is away. I have offered that I can look after them on Friday night before transporting them. If that is OK, we can do that. Vikki did mention she would communicate with you and potentially look for transport in the week.

I am slightly confused by your last comment are you saying the foster in Watertown will potentially find other transport?

Thanks
Nicole

My apologies, allow me to clarify. The foster, from the NY end of transport, won't be available to pick up the pups but instead her husband would come to the Watertown airport to get them :) I would provide the pilot, flying the last leg, with his contact information (cell phone etc).

Alrighty, in chatting with the Detroit area foster she is able to have a NOLA foster take the shih tzu's overnight on Friday and deliver them to the designated departure airport on Saturday. Nicole, thank you for the offer of overnighting them but they are quite scared and skittish.

Deanna, and All, I think it was my fault for the cancellation confusion. Around Thursday, I posted my cell phone number by PM to Nicole, and Brian, but forgot to include you, we all continued the planning and ultimately the cancellation in that thread. Sorry, I will try to fwd them to you so you can see what transpired.

I am available Saturday 3/16 all day ,Sunday 3/17 I'm available but an aircraft is currently not available. As before, I will need to reserve the plane, so I would like to formulate a plan sooner than later. I can back up the reservation on Sunday, If the other members cancel, I will automatically get the plane- but thats a long shot.

I spoke to Kathy (receiving foster), on Saturday, she made me aware of the passengers needs, as well as informed me that I would be meeting her husband in the event we have to do this next weekend. I also told her that, time permitting, I will fly to Potsdam (her town) saving 1.5 hour drive for her -so the earlier the passengers arrive at BQR- the better.

If need be and I still can't get a plane Sunday, I can drive them- perhaps meeting half way? -just as an option.

I'm also available afternoon on Tuesday 3/19, and so is the plane, if we get that far....

Thanks, Dan Drennan

Hi all,

I am able to do Saturday and have booked the aircraft from 9am. I am unlikely to be able to do Sunday, so I have asked Ed if he would be able to do the first leg if he is available.

Brian, would this work for you?

Nicole
