Additional Info/situation: We are seeking a ride ASAP from Charleston, WV to Bradford Co. Airport in Towanda, PA for a Mama dog and her two newborn puppies. It's possible this could be tied into a rescue flight we're planning for Sunday. I'd be leaving Frederick, Maryland to pick up a Lab-mix mother and 10 young pups in or around Columbus, Ohio and delivering them to Dunkirk, New York (near Buffalo).

Charleston's pretty much on the way to Columbus, and Bradford County, Pennsylvania's not that far off the direct route home from Dunkirk. Let me give some thought to whether I'd have room for everybody on board and enough time to add the two additional stops and slight detours.

What time are you planning on arriving in Columbus? If you have room for the whole crew, I could save you a detour to Charleston and bring them from Charleston to Columbus.

At this point, it's not quite clear whether I'll be going into KOSU in Columbus or one of the two airports in or near Dayton. I hope to get that thrashed out today. The plan would be to arrive around 2:30 p.m. if possible.

One potential complication to picking up both groups at the same place is that the other mother (the one with the 10 pups) is apparently VERY protective around other dogs ... so we'd need to keep them out of one another's sight. I'd been planning to load these three into a soft crate in the baggage hatch, then put the other group in the back seat, either in two crates or with Mom harnessed and the pups crated. I could also harness Mom into one of the front seats if necessary, though I'm not sure being further away from her puppies would help.

Are you going to (or toward) Columbus anyway? That might be a good reason to ask for OSU as the meeting point.

I had no plans for Columbus otherwise, so either place would work for me. Both are about the same distance from KCRW. Whatever is easiest for you.
