Special Needs German Shepherd -Oxford, MS - San Antonio, TX

http://www.examiner.com/article/neglect ... ts_article

8 month old German Shepherd Dog
Hip injuries due to being confined in a small crate for 23 hours per day.

Is currently located at

Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society

413 McElroy Drive
Post Office Box 1674
Oxford, Mississippi 38655

Needs transport to our vets where he can be assessed and scheduled for surgery.

Callaghan Road Animal Hospital
5738 Callaghan Road, San Antonio
TX, 78228

According to the shelter, Despite being confined to a crate during his formative months, he is friendly and well-socialized. Caesar appears to love everyone and everything and he is still very much "a puppy."

If anyone is able to assist with this transport please email me - [email protected]

The sooner we can get him to the vets the better. The shelter are very cooperative and are willing to take him to wherever necessary to meet up with transport.

Thanks in advance.

Jen :)

Can someone get this pup from Mississippi to mid-Louisiana? If so, I could go as far as David G. Joyce (0R5) or Caldwell (F86) Louisiana and bring him to Houston to meet up with Nicolas to take the last leg. If that comes together, Nicolas can you meet me at Pearland (KLVJ) for the transfer?

Thank you ... 27th is a bit too late really we are needing to get him out of the shelter and to the vets ASAP so that we can get him scheduled for surgery.

CleoBen - would you be available any sooner than 27th??

Just let me know when, Jenny. The first leg or two may be the toughest to get filled.

we have the first leg filled - Oxford to Jackson - by a fellow pilot - but driving,

Brooke Krizbai Yes, I can take him from the shelter to Jackson, MS. I am also trying to find a way to get him flown down. Still working on it....

So now trying to get Jackson to Caldwell - would that work?

Also someone is asking where in LA does he need to get to...

Are you on FB by any chance?

If so

As long as weather stays VFR (which it looks like it will) I can fly the first leg to Monroe this Saturday. I'm based out of Memphis, so flying to Oxford or Jackson, MS would be fine, and I could be at either airport for a 9am pickup.

I already have flights this Sat. and Sun., but I could fly Monroe LA/Vicksburg MS - Houston or Houston-San Antonio this coming week, VFR-WX permitting and with a couple of day's notice.

Best,
