Additional Info/situation:
Sweet senior Lela lost her human and then was dumped into a shelter by the family. Having been owned since she was a puppy, we can't imagine how confused and sad she must be. At some point, Lela was shot in the eye - the injury is healed but she is blind in one eye. Help us, help Lela know love again by getting her to rescue in Colorado. Receiving rescue is willing to drive so any points closer would help. Ground transport also available from KCMO, so if you can fly her there too, please let us know. Let's get this senior to the Rocky Mountain High Life so she can live out her golden years...

I sent a PM but the short story is: I will help if I can, depending on day/time/weather. I can do St. Louis to KC or KC to Hays KS if needed. I have other rescue flights in the works so please email me to keep me up to date.

I also send a PM about this. I can DRIVE approximately 150 miles from St. Louis. I could go halfway to Memphis and bring her back to St. Louis for Jim to pick up to go to KC. OR Lela could go with me on Thur Aug 28 when I drive north to Wisconsin if someone can continue west from there. I could connect with someone anywhere close to I-55 between St. Louis and Rockford or maybe from Janesville, WI. Keep me posted.

I might be able to carve out a day in the near future to assist with the Memphis to St. Louis leg, when are we trying to do this?

Of the dates/times offered in the email, I could make Monday afternoon work for a hand-off at KSUS/Million Air (my base) around 5-ish. I'm IFR, but the long-range weather looks good either way so it should be a pop fly. Let me know and I will finalize on my end. Is Lela traveling with a crate?

Mike: Monday works for me. I should be able to get to SUS/Millionaire by 5pm. I have a crate for her so I won't need one. I'll email the rescue to check on handoff here in KC. Feel free to give me a call.

Jim,
That's great, I will plan for your 5:00-ish arrival to KSUS on Monday.

Whomever is handling the Memphis end, please get in touch so we can coordinate details.

Thank you Jim and Mike for helping us with Lela.

Mike: So I can coordinate the Memphis handoff, when and where will you arrive on Monday into the Memphis area?
Jim: So I can coordinate the KCMO handoff, when and where will you arrive on Monday back into the KCMO area?
