Number of animals being transported: 1
Breeds, weight, age: spaniel mix, 9 lbs, 18 months
Health Condition: Recovering from distemper, thus must travel alone (dissipates in air within 12 hours)
Heart worm Status: negative
Vaccinations: none at this time (cannot be vaccinated for a few months)
Health Certificate: no
Spay/Neutered: no (cannot be neutered for a few months)
Special needs: Cannot travel with another dog (cat would be okay)
Name of Sending Rescue/Parties: Saving Shelter Pets of CA Inc
Name of Receiving Rescue/Parties: AnimalDefense Rescue
Contact information (publicly viewable on forum): Michelle Lewis 760/593-7299
Are you a 501c3: yes

Additional Info/situation: Nicolas has been in foster care for 2 months in CA. He was diagnosed with distemper & treated. He is doing great, but our vet recommended he not travel with other pets, therefore we are in a desperate situation to get him up to his rescue where he has 2 adoptive families anxious to meet him, but we cannot use ground transport or another air transport where he would travel with other dogs. The distemper virus does not survive outside the body more than a few hours (our vet confirmed 12 hours) therefore the plane would not be infected. He is a very sweet boy & needs the help of our pilot friends to get him to a forever home to have the long life with a new family that he deserves.

This is leg 1 of a multi leg flight, so would need to leave by 7 a.m. Please reply if you can fly either Saturday or Sunday for a multi leg flight originating in San Diego, ending in Seattle. Thank you!

I cannot do it this weekend, but I could do it Tuesday of next week.

Alternatively, I was planning on flying to Seattle the Friday before Labor Day, and could just do the whole thing (with a fuel stop) in one long day if it could wait until the 30th...

Thank you Anonymouse. Yes, we can wait until the 30th.

If any San Diego pilots see this, the above pilot is in El Monte, CA. If able to fly Nic up from Carlsbad to El Monte the morning of Aug 30th, please let us know.

Thank you,
Michelle
