Cyrus is finally going home! He's going to an adopter in Maine, which means a long ride on Dog Runner, from Fort Worth to Connecticut, where he'll be met. We just have to get him from San Antonio to Fort Worth to meet Dog Runner. Dog Runner overnights in the Cabela's parking lot near the Fort Worth Alliance airport (AFW), so the goal is to get him there late on Sunday, 15 Sep. They hit the road very early on Monday. At least Sunday looks like good flying weather!

I'm trying for ground transport, too, but so far haven't been able to put anything together. On the ground it will require 3 or 4 legs, while it should be 1 or 2 by air.

If the full trip is too far for you, we can break this in half, perhaps having a handoff in Hamilton (MNZ). Suggestions are solicited.

I don't want to change the origination point until I have confirmation, but it looks like we have San-Antonio-to-Waco covered on the ground. Now we just need to get Cyrus from Waco to Fort Worth Alliance.

Ground transport isn't working out. Our San-Antonio-to-Austin driver has had to drop out. It would be great if we could do this as two air legs, with a handoff at Hamilton (MNZ) or other north central Texas airport.

Cyrus is safe and sound in Fort Worth, awaiting his further adventure starting tomorrow, when he'll board Dog Runner bound for his new home in Maine. Thank you, Don Lawton, for making this an easy transport for Cyrus!
