Two lab boys need a lift 10/19! FDK (MD) to CDW (NJ)
Posted: Sat Oct 12, 2013 8:13 am
Number of animals being transported: Two male labs mixes: Sam (yellow lab/hound) is a 70 lbs lovebug and Reggie (black lab/cocker spaniel mix) is 38 lbs. Both boys are very friendly and both get along great with other dogs and people.
Breeds, weight, age: Reggie is in his golden years (around 8-9 yrs) and Sam is around 2 yrs old.
Health Condition: Good
Heart worm Status: Unknown
Vaccinations: Current - will provide specific vaccinations shortly
Health Certificate: Will have for travel
Spay/Neutered: To be determined
Special needs: No
Name of Sending Rescue/Parties: Cabarrus County Animal Control, NC.
Name of Receiving Rescue/Parties: Eleventh Hour Rescue, Caldwell NJ.
Contact information (publicly viewable on forum): On behalf of Cabarrus County Animal Control volunteers- Leslie Eyster, [email protected], 910-297-7446.
Are you a 501c3: Eleventh Hour Rescue is a 501c3.
Additional Info/situation: Each boy has such a sad story. Reggie was taken to an animal hospital by his family after they claimed he had been hit by a car (which he hadn't) -the family abandoned him at the animal hospital and Reggie was turned over to the kill shelter. Sam also found himself in a desperate situation. Thank Goodness for Eleventh Hour. As soon as we can get these boys to NJ, the current temp fosters are able to go back into the kill shelters and save more lives. We are hoping for flight transport during the week of Oct 14th or the weekend of Oct 19.
*Update: Elliott has offered to fly them from NC to MD on Saturday, Oct 19 with Sunday, Oct 20th as alternate day. So, we just need leg from FDK to CDW currently.
Thank you so very much for all that you do!
