Additional Info/situation:

Peanut has been in a foster home in rural Oklahoma since early August. Her chance of being adopted there is very close to zero. We're moving her to San Antonio, where she'll attend PetSmart adoption events and is expected to find a new home quickly. She'll be in Wichita Falls starting tomorrow (in Chihuahua rescue!).

Peanut has a ride from Granbury to San Antonio on Sunday with a Pilots N Paws couple, but on the ground, and starting at noon. Think of it as flying very low, appropriate for a low rider like a Basset. If we can get Peanut from Wichita Falls to Granbury by air we'll have a transport. Finding ground transport for this leg, considering where Granbury is, is very unlikely. This will run from KIP to 0TX1.

If it's needed to make this work, our Chihuahua rescue friend in Wichita Falls could bring Peanut to Bowie and meet you at 0F2‎. If you're coming from the DFW area this would save you flying all the way to Kickapoo.

Peanut is cautious with people she doesn't know, and should be considered a possible runner. Bassets can't run very fast, but you still don't want to be chasing her down across a runway. Reasonable care is really all you need.

I checked my weather sources, which aren't as good as yours, and the weather for Sunday morning looks quite hopeful. If someone knows otherwise, please let me know.

Many thanks for all you do for the homeless animals!

Wow! An embarrassing surplus of support!

Given that we tend to overexercize our poor Chihuahua rescue friend in Wichita Falls, I'm inclined to go with the full transport from Kickapoo to Granbury.

Gary, I really appreciate your offer, and hope we get to work together another time. (There's always another time.)

Louise, what time would you need to pick up at KIK to be in Granbury by noon? Since our ground-bound PnP pilot in Granbury is trying to leave for San Antonio by noon it would be best if you could be there by 11:30. What's your take on Sunday morning's weather outlook?

Many thanks to you both!

Louise, I forgot to ask in my previous message for your e-mail address. I want to be able to include you in the planning for Sunday, and part of the rest of the team isn't on the Ride Board.

Thanks!

No wind calculation is an hour flight. I will arrive at KCWC (Kickapoo Downtown) by 09:30, so wheels up to Granbury by 10:00. Please have the fosters offer ONLY water to the dog Sunday morning: no solid food or treats after midnight Saturday.
