If he is good with being in close quarter with another dog, why don't we move him with Buddy next week?

I'm potentially moving a dog south next weekend, on my way up there (1/10) I could move this pup north, I'm headed to Tulsa but I could drop off at KPWA if needed for someone to take the rest of the way to CO, or drop him off with Mike at KDTO, that's not far out the way.

Other thread is here: http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/forum/viewto ... 181#p94181

I'm flying or driving to Tulsa on 1/10, and coming back 1/12. If driving, I would rather not divert away, but if weather is good we'll be flying and I can easily bring this fellow with me and drop off anywhere along the way where another pilot can take over. I fly out of KAUS just north of lockhart, so not an issue to swing down and get him.

What ever works is good with me. Including fostering for a few nights if that helps with schedules.

Sounds good Mike. If the rescuer gets back to us, I'd be happy to drop this guy off with you on the 10th for further transport.

Okay... I'll commit to housing Murphy starting the 10th. And hopefully get him moving toward Denver in the Skylane on Sunday the 12th.

What time will you be coming into Denton?

FYI; the FBO I use is Business Air. As you exit the runway on Taxiway A4, you're facing the tower. Look to your immediate right for Business Air.

For cheep fuel, look to KSWI, Sherman Municipal, as you come south. AirNav reporting $4.20 for self serve. Best at Denton right now is $4.92 for Self Serve.

If weather is good, I'm planning to take off in Austin around 10:30am in a Piper Arrow. I should be off the ground with the dog from Lockhart by 11, putting me at KDTO no later than 1pm, probably about quarter to.

However, right now it's forecasted for rain that day, which won't work out well. I'll keep you posted as able. Still haven't heard from the rescuer.

Mike,
Does, "And hopefully get him moving toward Denver in the Skylane on Sunday the 12th." mean all the way to Den-area or do you need (would like) to meet someone?
Is Buddy (?) with you, too?

Thanks,
Lynn

At this time, I only have Murphy, the "Dog Mountain" with me (Pyr/St.B mix makes for a LARGE dog). And I will house him until the Sunday departure.

Current plans are to meet Pilot Dana in Borger, TX.
