Brad, I'd sure like to help make this happen. If someone can fly him from south Florida up to the panhandle area today I'll go get him this afternoon/evening and find him a foster or keep him myself (my Pomeranian won't be very happy with me) until Friday afternoon when I to can deliver him to John in Fort Worth. Most of the PnP pilots I know will fly more that 200nm, especially for a veteran. I'll do whatever I can to help.

Sounds like Jeff Wall and I could make this happen if you could find a foster in Jackson, MS for a couple of days.

I don't know what to say other than thank you. I don't know if we could get him today or not. I just don't know what you need me to do

I'm working with a foster in the DFW to see if he can find a foster in Jackson, MS for a few days. We are working this hard and fast.

Brad,

You might want to modify your initial post so it is clear the dog is in the Orlando area right now. It looks like if we could get him to the Tallahassee area then there are pilots to get him to Abilene by the weekend. If you have to wait for the Kennel in Lake Mary to transport to Anniston you might miss the transport that is already falling into place.

Look at your original post and up the right corner you should see an edit button. You can modify it there.

This thread has gotten a bit long and confusing. I thought I'd summarize it here.

The dog is currently in Lake Mary Florida. We have potential flights arranged from Jackson, MS to Abilene. There is a pilot in Jackson who is coming to Fort Worth on Friday (leaving out Friday afternoon late if I'm not mistaken). He is willing to bring the dog on that leg. I live in DFW area and I'm willing to get the dog and foster it for a couple of days (I've got another mission on Saturday to Denver) and then deliver him to Abilene on Sunday.

What we need is a pilot or 2 to get him from Lake Mary to Jackson, MS before Friday afternoon. I've been looking for a foster in Jackson (unsuccessful at this time) in case there was a way to get him there earlier than Friday afternoon.

Thanks for any help you can provide. Let's do what we can to get this hero to his retirement home with his handler (also a hero) from Afghanistan.

John
